Kommuninvest plans to issue a new green transaction, its eighth to date and the sixth in Swedish kronor. The issue consists of a tap of KOMINS 0,625% June-2023, with a current outstanding of SEK 3 billion. Danske Bank, SEB and Nordea have been appointed lead managers for the transaction, which can be expected in the near future depending on market conditions.
Under its Green Bonds framework, Kommuninvest finances Swedish municipal investment projects in eight areas, including renewable energy, green buildings, public transport and water management.
At the end of June, 2019, Kommuninvest’s portfolio of Green loans amounted to a total of 284 projects in 124 municipalities and regions. In total, SEK 52.4 billion (USD 5.3 billion) had been committed, of which SEK 35.5 billion (USD 3.6 billion) had been disbursed.
Kommuninvest finances the Green loans through Green Bonds issuance. To date, Kommuninvest has a total of SEK 24 billion (USD 2.49 billion) outstanding in five bonds, making Kommuninvest Sweden’s largest green bond issuer.
