Kommuninvest has established the funding forecast for 2023. Long-term funding (maturities longer than one year) is expected to be SEK 130–150 billion.
Funding will, depending on market conditions, be carried out in Kommuninvest´s strategic markets: SEK, USD and EUR. As there are outstanding bonds maturing in 2023, the potential for issuing Green Bonds will be large.
– Most municipalities and regions are facing tougher economic conditions in their investment planning. Therefore, we expect lending to grow at a relatively slow pace. Because of geopolitical developments and continued volatility in the market, the uncertainty of the forecast is higher than normal, says Christian Ragnartz, Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
