Kommuninvest publishes Climate Plan 2026 with long-term targets to support the local government sector’s climate transition

Municipalities and regions play an important role in Sweden’s climate transition. They are responsible for many of the investments needed to contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions, while also ensuring long-term financial sustainability. Today, Kommuninvest publishes its Climate Plan 2026, which describes how Kommuninvest supports municipalities, regions and municipal companies in contributing to Sweden’s target of achieving climate neutrality by 2045.
