We want to be able to support our customers on a broad front in taking well-considered and long-term sustainable decisions in their financial administration and broader financial management. Under the heading “Support in financial decisions”, we have brought together the different parts of our advisory services, which interact with the lending process and digital tools.
Governance in financial balance
Financial management plays a significant role in being able to secure long-term sustainability in local government finances. Building, for example, on the report “Governance in financial balance: more efficient financial management in the municipal sector”, we are working actively to provide support in analysis and deliberations.
Financial policy
Updated advisory materials have been developed for those designing or revising a financial policy in the municipal sector. The purpose is to provide a view of the basic components in a financial policy and what should be taken into account to end up with a well-functioning document.
Debt management
For those who want to develop their debt management, we have, not least as support for work in KI Finans Skuld, published a handbook on debt management. The purpose is to try to assist municipalities and regions in the assessments that need to be made in the management of a debt portfolio.
Liquidity planning
As a complement to the digital tool KI Finans Likviditet & Investeringar, and the training courses linked to it, we have compiled a basic reference material for the work with liquidity planning in the municipal sector.
To own or rent operational premises
As a rule, municipalities and regions can choose to build, own and operate their own operational premises. But relatively often there is now also the option of renting from a private actor. Kommuninvest receives many questions regarding approaches and calculations in this area.
Guarantee fees
Public Housing Sweden, SALAR and Kommuninvest have prepared updated guidance for determining guarantee fees. The material comprises the guidance document itself, and a continuously updated compilation of relevant reference data.
