Green bonds
Kommuninvest's green bonds finance investment projects aim to mitigate climate change and contribute to achieving Sweden's goal of zero net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2045.
The transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient future in Sweden is largely led by the local authorities. Progressive climate and environmental work are underway at local and regional level, and many Swedish cities have set climate goals that aim for zero net emissions of greenhouse gases as early as 2030.
Kommuninvest's Green Bonds are an opportunity to invest in Swedish climate solutions through an interest rate product, which is explicitly guaranteed by the members of the Kommuninvest Cooperative Economic Association.
The credit quality for the green bonds is the highest possible, the AAA/Aaa credit quality just like for Kommuninvest's other bonds, for the green bonds is the same as for all other Kommuninvest bonds, with standard documentation and a second party opinion from S&P.Cicero.
