Can you describe your role as a financial advisor?
I work with strategic advice and engage in dialogue with our customers about their long-term plans for debt management, financial control, and sustainable financing. Part of my role is also to assist customers in using our digital tools, KI Finans and KI Låna. The positive feedback we receive from customers every day creates both engagement and drive.
What do you like about Kommuninvest as a workplace?
I have been here for almost 30 years, and I have always been offered personal development and the opportunity to contribute to the company's development. The chance to grow with the tasks and to do different things is also important to me. Another strong motivating factor in my work, and a reason why I enjoy it so much, is the significant societal benefits we provide to our members and customers.

What do you do in Back Office?
At Back Office, we handle the process of payments and settlements. This is a crucial link in the business chain where we take care of business control, settlements, account management, and liquidity management. Additionally, we are responsible for the documentation of our borrowing programs and manage collateral securities.
How would you describe the corporate culture at Kommuninvest?
The culture here is characterized by openness, freedom with responsibility, and helpfulness. It is a workplace where questions are encouraged and knowledge is shared among colleagues. From my own experience, the positive work environment has helped to both ease and accelerate the process of adapting to and settling into my role.

What attracted you to the IT industry?
I actually slid into the IT industry somewhat unexpectedly. I came from business development and have always worked closely with IT. I was attracted by the pace of change and innovation rather than the technology itself. I started at Kommuninvest as a documentation officer in 2011 and over the years, I have developed within the company and today I am a team leader in the IT and development department.
How has your journey been as a female leader?
In my leadership, there is a great trust in my coworkers and therefore it has often helped me that I do not fully understand the operational aspects myself. For me, gender equality is important. We have a wide range of diversity regarding where people were born, with about half of the team having origins in other countries, and we have almost as many women as men in my group.

What do you work on?
I work with Kommuninvest's sustainable loan products and contribute to our sustainability reporting efforts.
How did you start working at Kommuninvest?
I have a master's degree in business administration with a focus on sustainable business from Örebro University. I started as an intern at Kommuninvest and was later offered a project position as a Sustainability Analyst. It has been fantastic to have the opportunity to work on such a variety of tasks. For example, I contribute to our sustainability reporting efforts. My colleagues' engagement and helpfulness have greatly contributed to my development and made the transition from intern to employee very smooth for me.

Tell us about your role at Kommuninvest.
I moved to Örebro from Iceland to take on the role of Data Engineer here. The role mainly involves helping Kommuninvest reshape the current data structure to enable the implementation of new systems and make our valuable data resource more accessible for everyone to use.
How was it starting as a new employee?
I was extremely impressed by the introduction and the entire onboarding process. Everyone here is very helpful and competent.

Tell me about your background?
"I have a double bachelor's degree in Economics and in Computer Science, and I worked for a few years in banking and finance before starting at Kommuninvest in the role of System Administrator."
Why did you want to start working at Kommuninvest?
"In my pursuit of further development, I was glad to find that both my economic expertise and my skills in computer science are utilized in my role as a System Administrator here. Even before I joined, I had heard very positive things about Kommuninvest as an employer, and I immediately felt a warm welcome when I first visited my colleagues and the office."
